The concept of identifying each feature set with a
class (as in Section 12.2.1) or as
a sub-class (Section 12.2.2) can be extended to
the states of a HMM [4].
We recommend, however, that if one goes through the trouple
of creating a CSHMM, one might as well relax the
assumption of uniform-size segmentation and head straight for
the multi-resolution HMM (Chapter 14).
